    Sarah Stewart

My name is Sarah and I live in rural PEI, Canada. Our family of four became home-owners last year, at which point I took an interest in gardening and gardening-related permaculture. I designed a vegetable/herb garden of nine 4’x4′ raised wooden beds, 2 perennial beds and 6 fruit tree guilds (4 apple and 2 pear) in our front yard this past Spring/Summer. I designed my guilds after reading parts of the book Gaia’s Garden and doing online research, and am eager to learn more about guilds and how to help them thrive in our North Eastern climate. I also am interested in making use of the wooded portion of our back and side yard, which contain a lot of dead wood currently. I’m eager to learn some more ways to incorporate permaculture into our property. Thanks for the learning opportunity!
